2022 Steve Walker Memorial Parent - Child

 

The "Parent - child" as many in Alamance County referred to it, was a staple in the community for several years. Under the direction of Steve Walker, the tournament grew to almost 200 participants and was a great family event. As a tribute to Stevelife  and his passion for growing the game, the city of burlington is continuing the spirit of the event at its locally owned golf course, the Valley golf Course. This event will  feature multiple divisions and be "TWO SEPARATE TOURNAMENTS" with the 9 HOLE event on Friday, July 22nd at 2pm and the 18 HOLE event on Saturday, July 23rd at 9 am.

Please sign up your youngest competitor online and include the oldest team member in the notes

 

Divisions will be based on the folloiwng ages of the youngest competitors 

 

Note: the 9 hole event will be approximately half of the following 18 hole yardages

 

 

• 5 to 8                      2673 yards
• 9-11                        3823 yards
• 12-14                      5064 yards
• 15-17                      5514 yards
• Adults 18+ - 59       5964 yards 
• Senior 60 - 69         5400 yards
• Senior 70 plus        4900 yards
• Ladies                    4900 yards
• Senior Ladies         4200 yards

Shotgun start 2pm Front 9 at The Valley Golf Course 

5pm award ceremony 

6:30 - 8pm Drive chip and Putt Team Competion (For all participants on both Friday and Saturday)
